How to safely use air loungers during group sessions

In order to use the air loungers safely it is important to ensure that the person getting onto or off of the air lounger is supervised, and assisted to ensure the risk of fall is minimised.

1. Ensure that the air lounger has sufficient air and that the air lock, the mechanism that holds the air in the lounger is secure.

2. Stand alongside the air lounger with person that is about to sit down, is on the other side of the lounger, and tell the person to sit as if they are about to sit in the middle of a sofa. Guide the person onto the lounger and your legs will prevent the sofa moving away. When the person is seated, help to move the legs, with the feet pointing to the end that is used to fill the lounger and the head resting on the sealed end of the lounger.

3. Ensure the person is comfortable in the middle of the lounger and not unbalanced, or hanging to one side of the lounger.

4. When comfortable, pass the person the wireless headphones or start your pre recorded relaxation or music appreciation session. You will be free to move amongst the attendees of your group and assist where necessary.

NOTE 1: The loungers are safe for people up to 120KG

NOTE 2: Before using the air loungers in a 'live' environment, practise blowing up the device and supervising somebody to sit and get out of the lounger to minimise any risks.
